Hammer

Two materials for the same Hammer

Same casting profile and the same fitment — the right material depends on how abrasive your feed is.

RECOMMENDED FOR HARD ROCK
Hammer with cast-in alloy bars Alloy bars positioned in the mould before pouring

Alloy Bar — Composite

High manganese steel + embedded alloy bars (CA-Alloy 60)
  • About 2× the wear life of plain manganese steel
  • Metallurgical bond — cast in, not inserted
  • Custom preform geometry for your chamber
  • Lower cost per tonne crushed than bought-in carbide inserts
Cost: +30–40% · How it is made →

Standard — High manganese steel

The standard material for crusher wear parts
  • Proven, work-hardening manganese steel
  • Excellent impact toughness
  • Lowest cost per part
  • Wears faster in hard, high-silica rock
Best for: moderate abrasion and impact · budget-driven replacement cycles

Send us the crusher model and the feed material and we will quote both materials side by side, priced against expected life.
